Andrew Halweg vs. Hidradenitis

I am starting a campaign to assist my son Andy with a greatly needed upcoming surgery. For those of you that are not aware, he has been suffering from a horrible skin disease called Hidradenitis Suppurativa.  He has had 63 surgeries since the age of 16. He is now in desperate need of a very expensive surgery and his minimal state insurance covers almost none of it. In fact, before the surgery can even be scheduled, he needs to put a sizeable down payment down. He will pay the rest over the rest of his life, this surgery, which includes a plastic surgeon, will run nearly $30,000+. This surgery will help try to stop the spread of the disease which is currently on his back end and is spreading to his private areas. That is why it is very important to have the surgery done by the best. The procedure could be done at an e.r. but they will do the minimum, just enough to stabilize him and this plan just doesn't work. After the surgery, he will need to purchase many expensive supplies including a product called Xeroform. It is a lubricant covered gauze that covers the wounds. The product costs $15-18 per package and he will use 5-7 packages a day.  He will be missing work for 6-8 weeks while his deep wounds heal. He too proud to ask for help himself, but he really needs help. Anything would really help. Thank you so much.
