My name is Kimberlee Castillo.
In November 2016 my husband and I were given news that we would be receiving one of life's greatest blessings. God is blessing us with our third child, a girl, whom we have decided to name Aria Belle. On March 9th, when I was 26 weeks pregnant, we were given devastating news about our unborn princess. Aria was diagnosed with a rare brain condition known as severe Micro Hydrocephalus. This diagnosis comes with many unanswered questions, along with a lot of waiting. It has required us to meet with many specialists and doctors, and all have said there will be many more appointments to come in the future. Due to the severity of this diagnosis, we were sent to UT southwestern in Dallas to have a fetal MRI - this was our best chance to look into her condition in utero. As doctors had suspected, the test confirmed that Aria has severe Micro Hydrocephalus, as well as a cyst on her cerebellum. Receiving this news about our precious unborn child has left us with many unanswered questions - we are still at a loss for words. We will soon be required to locate to a bigger city where we have a chance of receiving more specialized and better treatment. This will be a big adjustment for our family, especially our other two children. We believe strongly in the power of prayer, and we covent your prayers, for us, as well as precious Aria.
