Ethan Medical Coverage Needed!

Hello world! My son, Ethan, is 15 months old and has been sick for about the past 2 months. Last Thursday, however, is when the scary stuff started. He had three febrile seizures in one day, resulting in three ER visits and 2 ambulance rides to the hospital. We stayed overnight until his fever broke. We had one day of rest and today (Memorial Day) he had another seizure-this time without a fever. We're headed to another hospital now (Children's Hospital) and hope to find some answers and relief! While we have the highest tier insurance through my work, each ER visit has a copay of $200. This combined with the ambulance rides (~1000-1500 each) and time off work will cripple us financially. We're not ones to ask for help usually. We've exhausted my FSA and have only one more time to withdraw from my 401k due to medical expenses. I don't have PTO available until the end of July. We're still paying off his first hospital bill from birth along with the second visit from when he hurt his head (Christmas Eve). If you have anything to contribute towards our little family, it will be greatly appreciated.

We have completed an application for Medicaid and are awaiting a response (up to 30 days). I have also taken a Leave of Absence from work in order to closely monitor Ethan at least untl we get an MRI. My husband is working, but this is not enough to carry us over through this diagnosis process.
We did get an EEG 6/1 and saw a pediatric neurologist 6/2. The doctor did state the EEG appeared abnormal, but believes this may be due to Ethan having so many seizures in such a short period of time (6 in one week). Since then, however, Ethan has had 1-2 seizures/staring spells a day. They have ordered for an MRI, but we have not yet been contacted to get this scheduled.
Today we also received a letter from my insurance stating Ethan's hospital visit wasn't covered as it was deemed medically unnecessary. We're going to file an appeal; however, we would definitely appreciate any help you can provide (whether it be financially, through prayer, or billing/coding/insurance assistance). Thank you all for the help you've given so far!! We certainly hope we find some answers soon and Ethan can get back to being himself.
