My name is taylor, I am a type one Diabetic. T1D is an autoimmune disorder. An infection or some other trigger caused my body to mistakenly attack the cells of my pancreas that make insulin. My blood sugar can sometimes get really high which causes my body to produce keytones. Those will destroy my sensitive organs like my kidneys, my eyes and even my nerves. If my blood sugar gets too low I could have a fatal seizure!! (yikes) I wear an insulin pump and a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) to help control my blood sugar but what I really need Is a DIABETIC ALERT service DOG!! :) they smell me and can alert me when my blood sugar goes up or down!
