Eye See You!

This week I went to have my eyes examined.  I thought it would be just like any other eye exam...I would leave with a prescription for new glasses.  This time, I found out, that I need to have eye surgery or I will be blind in two to three months.   At first, I was in disbelief.  Wouldn't anyone be if they thought all they needed would be another glasses RX?  So, the next day I talked with another doctor of mine, the second opinion was ruled out.  This ophthamologist has seen me as a patient since I was 20.  This fund has been set up so I can pay the surgeon/ophthamologist.  Each eye will be done seperately and will take 4 weeks to heal (or longer) but if all goes well, hopefully not longer than 4 weeks.  The surgeon/ophthamologist is not covered by insurance. This is the first time a complication has arisen in 30+ years of being a type 1 diabetic.  I have always been well controlled...I am asking for your help, which is hard to do...What I take for granted every day is changing and I am reaching out to stop this process.  If you can give please consider my cause.  I never dreamed I would be in this situation today.  Thank you all for your prayers too, those are really appreciated.
