Elliotts Cancer Fight

Elliot has been diagnosed with stage 3 Hepatoblastoma, which is a form of liver cancer in kids. He has multiple tumours on his liver, including one large tumour extending throughout his abdomen.

He's in a lot of pain and has been on a steady morphine drip, which has made a difference in him. We started chemo 24 days ago, and will continue for a full 6 weeks in total before doing more scans to see if the surgeons can remove it safely.

If they decide they can't then it's another 6 weeks of treatment, and he's put on the transplant list right away just in case the next round of chemo doesn't shrink it. We are in for a long hard road but the good thing is that these type of tumours respond well to chemo and we have lots of love and support surrounding us.
