I am starting this gofund me page for some really special friends of mine and want to share there story.
The money donated will be transferred to my account where I will then transfer to Sam.
I met Sam and Darren 5 years ago when our eldest daughters went to kindergarten.
Sam is my best friend and there's nothing I wouldn't do for her.
This money will go towards petrol (to make it possible to drive over 150Kms a day to see Darren) it will also pay bills and help pay there rent while Darren is in hospital and rehab.
Sam will be withdrawing the money when it is needed.
On Wednesday the 10th of May 2017 our family friend Darren was travelling home from work to his Fiancee and 3 young children, at approx 3pm in Berwick he was turning on to the freeway where he was a given a green light to go,Unfortunately he was hit by an oncoming vehicle that had ran a RED LIGHT crashing into he's motorbike, causing him to hit the car and the road.
He was then airlifted to the Alfred hospital under a critical condition.
Darren was then placed in an induced coma for over a week due to his injuries being so severe.Darren had fractured his C1 & C4 vertebrae, broken his collar bone, broken Ribs, Broken Jaw, a severed thumb and worst of all 2 large bleeds and swelling on his brain. He was then taken in for brain surgery.
Sam has been by his bed side everyday and night not only has this completely shattered her, her children are beside themselves as they are still trying to comprehend how Daddy is still in hospital and not having there Mummy around as much they usually do.
Sam barely sleeps and has to take care of her children and be with Darren all at the same time. Sam travels from Pakenham to the Alfred everyday which is taking on a toll on them financially.Please donate anything to help this family get back on there feet or even leave a kind message of support.Thank you so much
