We Love Jen, Jason And Meatloaf!

Jen and Jason are two of the kindest and most generous people I know. They are the type of friends that everyone wants to be around and have a contagious zen for life. Both are always down for a good time but will be there to support you when times are tough. Jen is the type of girl that is always thinking of others before herself. I am guilty of calling her several times needing words of encouragement or advice and every time she has stopped what she was doing to give me her undivided attention and honest input. I can't speak personally about Jason, but I have heard stories and been around him enough to know what a good and caring person he is. These two beautiful people have been faced with more than just a couple challenges lately.

I am sure most people reading this are aware of what has been going on with Jens dad. For those of you who don't, he started having stroke and seizures and the cause of them was undetermined for quite some time. No medical treatments from IV steroids to chemo drugs were working. Finally the doctors decided he needed a brain biopsy. The surgery went really well and from the new samples taken the doctors were able to determine the proper medicine he needed to keep the seizures manageable. Through all of this jen and Jason were by his side. Flying back and forth from Charlotte to Maryland. putting their lives on hold to be there for her family.

While all of this was happening with her Dad their adorable bulldog, Meaty, whom we all love and cherish was taken to the vet bc they noticed some behavior changes.... what Jen and Jason thought was going to be an anal gland issue turned out to be a mass in her mammory gland and was told she needed to have surgery right away. Those of you without pets may not realize how incredibly expensive these surgeries can be. Of course being the parents they are Jen had the surgery booked within a week and didn't think twice about the money.

On the very same day Jason took Meaty to the vet, Jen was still in Maryland with her family and had to take her family dog in for a checkup. Out of no where, bc of a corrolation between the family dog and dads seizures the vet suggested putting her down in the spot. This was Jen's dog from high school who she adored and was beyond heartbroken and overwhelmed with everything at this point.

As everyone knows Jen and and Jason are recently engaged and currently planning their wedding. They have also just purchased their first home. Both life altering, and expensive events as many of us can relate to. Dealing with just these two happy events is more than enough for one couple to handle in one year. Throw everything else into the mix and I don't know how they are doing it. Never the less, they have faced every challenge life has thrown at them head on with courage and no complaints. They are the type of people that would never even consider asking for a handout or complaining about money for that matter.

As their friends I think we can all agree this has not been easy on them emotionally or financially. I know everyone has reached out and let them know we are here for them but if we can help with the financial burden as well, why not. Put yourself in their shoes for a little and think about how difficult all of this must be. Let's show them how much we love and care and donate to the J&J go fund me account.
