Izzie's Hepatic Lipidosis Treatment

So if you know me at all.. you know I'm a crazy cat lady. Specifically, I'm obsessed with my Princess Izzie. I adopted this little handful when she was a few weeks old. She picked me. Literally .. she climbed up my pant leg at the animal shelter and I fell in love. I noticed on Friday Izzie seemed very thin, and if you've ever had the pleasure of meeting this sweet kitty you will know she's a hefty little thing. Anyways, I called the vet this morning and made an appointment for her.. thinking at the very worst -diabetes or something silly and easily cured. The vet noticed izzie had yellowing gums and worried about her liver so she ran the blood work and came back to me with the prognosis. Hepatic Lipidosis, basically that means that there is inappropriate fat infiltration into the liver. This is especially common in chubby kitty's who go a few days without eating. So my poor baby has been hurting for several days. My heart breaks. My sweet little girl has to stay at the vet for 3-5 days for monitoring and to be given nutrients - hopefully she'll recover quickly and I can bring my sweet girl home. I told the vet to do whatever it takes to get my girl better. If she doesn't recover from the nutrients and monitoring the alternative is heart-wrenching. I unfortunately did not just win the lottery or big brother and the bill is going to be a doozy. The vet gave me a rough estimate of up to $2800- that's without an Emergency Room visit, sedation or extra blood tests- all added expenses. Any little bit would help, I know to some izzie is just a cat- but to me she's family.. she's my little girl and I have raised her from day one. If anything were to happen to her I would just be so lost. Please share! Thank you!
