Hurricane Harvey Flood Relief

Donation protected

Hello to all and hope you are all safe.

Hurricane Harvey has come and gone and in its wake, we are ready and willing to rebuild. Unfortunately, this degree of flooding that came through was not just sudden, but devastating. Already many have come forward willing to help and support us through this disaster, and for that, we are filled with gratitude.

Those that have volunteered their help have lessened the blunt force of these events on us, and now it is time to rebuild. The Cajun Navy got us dry, the Golden Nugget housed us for a couple days, and others have chipped in to help with the temporary relocation of us and our animals. FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE SO FAR, WE ARE INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL.

The damages that were done to our house, cars, furniture, school supplies, and electronics from the flood are difficult to measure, but we are asking for any small donations to help rebuild. And the faster we get back to full strength, the faster we can help others in our situation.

The flood came in fast and hard, pushing up our septic system into the house, soaking all of our furniture, our floor boards, carpets, tile, basically anything that is a semipermeable material has soaked up that septic water. Unfortunately, my truck did not survive.

Right now we are without a home, bouncing between hotels and friends houses, we have our health, our animals, and our friends. Chelsea is starting her last semester of nursing school at Lamar on 9/5 and supplies need to be replenished.

This is a long and arduous road ahead, but with your contributions, no matter how small, we will be able to get back to where we were. The gravity of this disaster still has us in shock and your continued support is truly awe-inspiring. From every fiber of our being, we thank you. Please share, retweet, forward, Instagram, anything, and ask others to share, the more you help, the more we can give our help to others in need.
