Get us to Dragon*Con!

My husband, Rob Carlos, is an artist/illustrator in the fantasy genre. We have gone to Dragon*Con for the last five years and participated in the Art Show regardless that the convention is on the other side of the country.
This year, we planned on displaying Rob's art in the art show again, but not vending. We wanted to take a year off from vending so we could actually go to panels and enjoy the convention. We have our badges and a bay in the Art Show. However, we're short on funds and have yet to get our airfare and hotel.
Please help. If we end up not going, we eat the money already put out for badges and will have to forfeit the Art Show space. That could jeopardize Rob's ability to get into the Art Show again in the future.
We really want to go and see our East Coast friends. Any help is appreciated.
