Hi my name is Gretchen and I am writing to you on behalf of our friend....Donna Clark.
In April, Donna was diagnosed with breast cancer. On September 5th she will undergo a double mastectomy, followed by another surgery in the winter to begin reconstruction of her breasts. After each surgery she will have a minimum of 6 week recovery. As you might imagine, the medical bills combined with the loss of income is quite a stress on their family.
One of the things that I love about Donna is that she always has a positive attitude and can turn the sourest of lemons into lemonade. She can find the silver lining in any situation. Her take no prisoners, pull yourself up by your boot straps kind of girl attitude is contagious and always puts any "problem" into perspective. She loves unconditionally and when she is on your team she shows up 110%. I am a better person because of watching and learning by example of what it means to give of yourself and expect nothing in return. That is the person that Donna is. She would give you the shoes off her feet and the shirt off her back- now I am hoping to help her and I am asking for your help too.
Donna always brags about her group, her people--how blessed she has been to be surrounded by such wonderful people. It is sometimes difficult to know what to do to help someone when they are going through a thing such as this. Won't you please consider helping me show her how much she is loved and appreciated by donating whatever you can to help her through this difficult time.
