Celebrate the life of Thaddeus

      Help us reach our initial goal of $5,000 to support  Howard Andre and Jerrica Graves?  All proceeds received will go toward medical expenses, the memorial,  and funeral expenses of Thaddeus Alexander Graves.  We are hoping to overwhelmingly exceed this goal to lift some weight off their shoulders as they press their way through this difficult time! Thaddeus'spirit and very presence was a blessing to all of us who knew him while God allowed him to be with us on earth.  He was born on December 10th,  2015 and he will continue to shine a light on friends and family from heaven.  He had a big personality that was fitting for such a strong name.

"Thad Man," which he was lovingly nicknamed,  was an old soul with a contagious smile.  He did things his way from the beginning. Thad was born almost a week early because his doctor realized that he was outgrowing the space in his Mom's belly.  He was born with jaundice and he kicked its butt with the help of his attentive parents. Oh how this little guy was loved!! Thad's parents were soooooo proud and simply adored him.

On August 16th a heartbreaking tragedy occurred. Thad was eating grapes,  one of his favorite foods and began to choke on one.  His caregivers quickly tried to dislodge it but was unsuccessful.  EMS was promptly called to assist.  Despite everyone's heroic efforts, Thad went without oxygen for an extended period of time and his body could not recover. This little boy was a fighter! Thad's family,  friends and prayer warriors across the country fervently prayed for a miraculous healing.  Unfortunately, on August 17th at 10:29 p.m. Thad on his own terms,  passed in his mothers arms and under his father's spoken prayer.  They are heartbroken, along with the village of people who loved Thad.

Thankfully, Thad knew the Lord because his parents introduced them. Even at 20 months Thad practiced his prayers and was a church goer. Because we are believers in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we know Thad is resting in our Father's hands. This brings some comfort and peace to those who loved him.

As the days pass and harsh reality sets in we first ask for prayers for the Graves family. No parent should have to endure burying their child and under these tragic conditions it's even more difficult. In addition, PLEASE help us meet and exceed our goal. The parents would like us all to raise awareness for the importance of becoming CPR certified and any residual funds after the medical and funeral expenses are taken care of will go towards efforts to raise such awareness.
