Stan Toensing ALS assistance fund

Our good friend Stan was recently diagnosed with ALS. Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Stan will eventually become unable to walk, move, or even speak. Sadly, there is currently no cure for ALS.

Stan's symptoms have progressed rapidly since his diagnosis and he is no longer able to work. His desire is to be able to stay in their home, which presents some barriers for his future mobility. They have had an assessment done on their home and have had some suggestions presented to them as to how to make daily living manageable. Although they haven't yet made any decisions, these changes could be rather costly.

In addition, while he is still mobile enough to get around, he and his wife, Jeannette, would like to spend some time traveling.

We have established this fund with the proceeds going to Stan and Jeannette to use as they wish whether it be used for their travel, to be used to help adapt their home to make it more accessible, and/or to go toward other medical expenses.
