My Service Trip to Nicaragua

Hey everyone! I am very excited to share with you all a great service experience that I have been chosen to be a part of in the upcoming year. In January 2014, I will be traveling down to León, Nicaragua with 15 other Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy students from Quinnipiac to treat children and adults with special needs. I look forward to this trip being an opportunity to expand my knowledge as a future healthcare professional. Service has become a very important aspect of my life and although I still struggle to find ways to better myself as a person, I know that through my service, I can better at least one other persons life in the process. My passion is to work with children. Although I have had some experience with this sort of "work," this trip will offer me an experience greater than anything else I could imagine! This service trip has been a dream of mine since I first heard about it at Quinnipiac. I am inviting you to this page to ask for your support in order for me to be able to a part of this journey. Any donation (big or small) is greatly appreciated! All donations I receive will go towards my trip costs (which include, airfare, food, and other miscellaneous fees for the trip.) Any extra money that I raise will be put towards buying toys and supplies to bring down with me for the children and families we will be helping!
