Liver Transplant Expenses

October 3, 2016 my families lives were turned upside down when my mother was admitted into the hospital.  We found out that she has non alcholic cirrhosos of the liver.   This was a huge shock to us because my mother had NO prior health conditions. We then found out that she was going to have to have a liver transplant.  We thought well maybe we can find a living donor to be able to donate part of their liver knowing that the liver is the only organ that you can give part of and the rest will grow back.  We then found out that option will not work and that she would have to recive a cadaver liver.  Finding this out was upsetting to my mother because that meant another family would have to lose a family member in order for this to happen.  We all tried to let her know that someone who is a organ donor wants to save someone elses life if they are able to once the Lord calls them home.   With all of this going on it has caused my mother to have to retire from  the job that she loved and has done for the past 24 years with this school year would have been 25 years. She loved all of her students as well as all her colleagues.  She was a Elementary School Teacher and had taught at the same school for the whole time  what would have been 25 years this year.  She finally got called May 22nd 2017 that they had a liver for her.  This was some great news being that some people wait years for a transplant.  With the hospital being 3 hours away once she is released her and my stepfather will have to stay at a extended stay hotel for at least 5 more weeks to be close to the hospital and her Dr.  This was the closest hosital to us that did liver transplants.  Her health insurance does not cover any expenses for food, hotel, gas etc. Her and my stepdad will have to pay for each day that they have to stay at the extended stay hotel and we all know that hotels are not cheap and again they will be there for at least 5 weeks so that adds up.  I am asking for anyone that can help at all it would be greatly appericated.  Please continue to pray for my mother and for a speedy recovery for her as she still has a road to recovery.       I want to Thank everyone in advance.
