Save A Cow Conondale Sanctuary Rent

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Anthony Walsgott and I have saved over 150 cows (females, bulls, steers and calves/bobby calves) from the slaughterhouse over the last 5 years in the Save A Cow Program, which I founded in 2010.

I provide forever homes for these saved cows (for the term of their natural lives) and provide daily care for these cows on a number of sanctuaries where they can live out their lives free of human exploitation.

The Conondale Sanctuary in Queensland Australia is one of these Save A Cow Sanctuaries and is a beautiful, healthy home for more than 50 cows. It has a creek running through the entirety of the property and provides very good nutritious grasses for the cows. It is in a valley and has very high quality soil to sustain the good feed for the cows.

Before I focus on the financial needs of The Conondale Sanctuary I will give a very brief overview of the financial situation of The Save A Cow Program.

For 5 years I have been voluntarily working (extremely full-time) without any remuneration and using any money I had (from savings) and any money I get (from donations) to pay for all of the costs of running the Save A Cow Program. Some of the costs include: Initial purchase of cows; initial and rotational transportation of cows between sanctuaries; initial fencing and on-going repairs/replacement of wildlife friendly fencing  of paddocks, hay, grain and other food supplements; veterinary bills; natural and necessary tick and worming products;  paddock/property maintenance; rent of cow paddocks in sanctuaries.

Of my own money I have spent well over $100,000 over the last 5 years which is all the money I have had available to me, as well as received over $10,000 from people who have donated to help purchase a few of the cows. Because I have to work full time caring for the cows (7 days a week) and run and carry out all aspects of the Save A Cow Program. which is very physically, mentally and emotionally demanding, I do not have the time or energy to earn money from working another job (I have tried and it does not work).

As such, it has been more than a struggle to run the Save A Cow Program and now I have to get serious financial help from other humans.

There are many areas of The Save A Cow Program that require desperate financial assistance (some are mentioned above) but for the sake of this initial Gofundme campaign I have chosen to ask for help with the desperate outstanding rent that is owable on The Conondale Sanctuary mentioned above. The rent of the cow paddocks in this sanctuary are about $235 per week ($12,248.28 per year).  At the moment there is an outstanding debt for rent of The Conondale Sanctuary of $6,185.58.

So, I humbly request your help to pay for this outstanding rent so that the saved cows can continue to live at The Conondale Sanctuary.
