Most children graduate high school and are excited to begin the next chapter of their lives. Some might go off to college, others will travel, some may work, but Johnny has been robbed of these opportunities. Following his graduation, Johnny was driven to the nearest accepting hospital to plead his case in the hopes of being placed on a transplant list.
After months of being sick and visiting his pediatrician; only to be told he had a stomach virus, Johnny's mother's persistence and intuition led her to beg her own gastroenterologist to take a look at her son. After some reluctance, he made an exception finding a large tumor growing out of Johnny's liver. The tumor was so large; the doctor stated, “It must have been growing for at least 3-4 years.” After further investigation, it was found that Johnny also had cancerous spots on his lungs. "CANCER" a word all parents fear and no parent should ever have to hear.
Any money collected from this account will go to help pay Johnny's medical bills. Hopefully, this is just an obstacle in Johnny's life and he can soon return to doing the things recently graduated high school children do, such as, following his dreams of becoming an EMT or police officer.
