Our friend and colleague, Corey, is the owner of a rural veterinary practice in Pennsylvania, and over the past 5+ years has worked to positively impact the lives of her patients, their owners and the local community. Her practice, voted Best of Berks in 2017, offers excellent care at reasonable rates and provides bi-annual low-cost rabies clinics to the community. Through her work, she supports numerous local non-profit organizations by offering discounts on her services. The walls of her office are covered with hand-written thank you notes from patient families expressing their deep appreciation of her care and kindnesses. Some quotes from clients include:

Recently, however, Corey has been hospitalized and diagnosed with a spinal stroke and is currently recuperating at an in-patient rehabilitation facility. Her long-term diagnosis is that she will be “out of work” for approximately 5-6 weeks and even then only part-time. Add to that the prior month of illness/hospitalization and diagnosis, we are talking well over 3+ months out-of-work and likely an extraordinary series of medical bills coming her way.
By setting up this Go Fund Me Page we are hoping to help offset some of these ongoing, compounding expenses so that Corey can better relax and fully embrace rehabilitation and recuperate more quickly. As many of her clients have said over the past few weeks, “we want our vet back!”
