To help Yera and her daughters

Donation protected
My name is Jessica Bethencourt I live in Germany and I am the sister of Danny Bethencourt. I have set up this account to show support for Danny's wife and children. Danny was one of the victim of the firework warehouse explosion in Curacao Netherland Antilles on 15 December 2012. All funds donated will go directly to Danny's Wife and children.

Yera and my brother Danny married civil 5 years ago. Danny adopted Melissa the daughter of Yera as his own child.
One year after the marriage they got a really lovely girl, her name is Melanie, she loved her daddy so much. And her daddy loved her. Last year after 4 years, they went in honeymoon to Thailand and my brother and Yera made their religious wedding. Danny was so happy to be with his big love there. In August of the same year Danny called me in Germany to tell me that they are expecting the next baby. He was so happy that their second baby was on the way. Some weeks later they learned that it would be a girl. That was a wonderful news. End of November 2012 he went to Miami to buy baby clothes, cradle and all necessary things that the baby need when they are born. Everything was looking so perfect. But that was only until the 15th Dec 2012, exactly 5 months after their religious wedding in Thailand. That morning he woke up and prepared breakfast for his wife and daughters. He told his wife after he´d finished the stock taking he would come home and he would cook something delicious for her and the children. You should know that Danny loved to cook. He gave each one a kiss like he was use to do everytime he went out. Danny went to the firework warehouse to do a stock take. In the afternoon the firework warehouse where the fireworks were stored exploded, 3 persons were killed (our cousin and 2 good friends). Danny could come out of the warehouse, but he got severe and deep burns. But Danny and one of the guy, that died later, both said that someone throw fire inside the warehouse. As Curacao is a small island, they cannot take care of such cases, so they decided to send Danny to Medillin Colombia for treatment. His wife was in the 6th month pregnant she could not go the same day. She first needed to go to doctor to check if everything was ok with the baby. Before they put Danny in induced coma, he said that they should not scare his wife with the bad news because she was in 6th month pregnant and that nothing should happen to the baby. During all the pain he was suffering, his first thought was of his wife and their unborn baby. After few days Yera went to Colombia. From the airport she went directly to the hospital. Danny was still in coma. The doctors told her that he could not speak but that he could hear her, so she spoke to him. They put him in induced coma due to the severe burns inside in his lungs. She was going every day to hospital. She spoke a lot with him and put his favourite music for him. They even let him hear the heartbeat of the unborn baby. And he moved his feet and tears came from his eyes. His life was his family.
He wished a second baby so much, now there it was, his wife pregnant in 6th month and he was in a hospital in critical conditions, fighting to survive. 12 days after the explosion on the 27th of December 2012 at 5:05 he passed away. He was gone leaving his wife in 6th month pregnant, leaving a 3 years old daughter and 11 year old adoptive daughter. With my brother the 4th victim of this explosion died. Till today the police does not know what happened. They could not find who throw the fire inside the warehouse that caused the dead of 4 men.
On the 20th of March 2013 a baby girl was born. She is healthy and so cute, her name is Milena.
Yera is with 28 years widow, and Melanie (4 years) and Milena (4 months) are orphans. Melanie speaks a lot about her father. Every night when she sees the stars, she looks at the brightest one and she said "look there is my daddy". Or sometimes she says that the angel should wake up daddy so that he can go back home to them.
All this is not so easy for Yera and her daughters and it is so sad to think that Danny will never ever go back home and he will not be there to see his daughters grow up. He did not even achieve to see Milena birth only God knows why this had to happen.
Danny had weaknesses like every one of us but he was a good husband, father, son , brother and the best friend you could ever have. He was really a good person and always ready to help everybody. He passed away at the happiest time of his life. Now his wife and daughters need help, that is why I ask for your support.
The goal of this fund is to help with all the living expenses that a family of this size can generate.

Thank you for your donation, no matter the size.
