to the Shannon Marks fundraiser
Here is her story:
Shannon was diagnosed with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) in June 2012, in August she had removed 70% of her liver. She recovered well and the doctors seemed very confident that they got it all. All follow-up CT's and even a PET scan at the end of April 2013 showed all clear. Mother's Day weekend of 2013 she was admitted to the hospital for some dehydration, they did a CT while there and came in and told her that the cancer was back in the liver and now spread to the lungs and really nothing else they could do, they gave her 6 months to a year, ON MOTHER'S DAY!!! With being a mother of 4 small children this was unacceptable, so she traveled to Minnesota Mayo clinic for a second opinion, which unfortunately she received the same news. Shannon has now found a clinical trial at the GRU Cancer Center in Georgia, which is going to require frequent visits for appointments, scans, and treatments.
PLEASE!! Let's do everything we can to help out Shannon and her family pay for these expenses, so this is one less thing she has to worry about in her battle. All it takes is 1000 people to donate $20 a piece and we can reach our goal. Thank you all for your time and help.
