My Place Teen Center - Van Needed

Since 1998, My Place Teen Center has been one of the largest, after school programming centers and hot meal providers for phenomenal youth who are considered most at risk. Last year, we served 522 different youth and prepared more than 14,000 meals - all at no charge!

The dilemma: Staff have used their personal vehicles to transport the kids home at night as well as procure 1,500-2,000 lbs. of food/week. The extensiveness of this need is daunting. The wear and tear is excessive.

As a 501 c 3 nonprofit that is in the business of transforming kids' lives, and in some instances, even saving some of those lives, we are a no-barrier, safe, FUN haven for all youth, but especially for those who need us the most.

Any youth, age 10-18, who walks through our iconic red doors, receives food, comfort, resources, academic assistance, job readiness, and the life skills "¨necessary to live and grow into an adult who is mindful of stewardship, courage, passion and joy.

Please donate to help us purchase an 11-passenger van including the registration and insurance costs. Thank you!

PS: Yes, we have made REPEATED asks to local car dealers and rental places to get a van donated, but to no avail. We have sent letters and had face-to-face meetings, but the answer still remains the same. "Not in our budget." Um, well, neither was feeding hungry kids. But we do it because it's the right thing to do!
