The Perlman Family Adoption

Andy, Sarah, Silas, and Caleb Perlman are thrilled to be opening their home to a third child, a little girl whom they are trying to adopt from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Sarah and Andy have received a referral for their child, which means they know her name and have her picture. She is a beautiful baby girl who was born in June.

Now that the Perlmans have their referral, they must wait for the remainder of the legal process to be completed before they can bring their little girl home. Currently this process is taking 8-12 months to complete. The Congolese government has also temporarily suspended exit approvals for orphans so currently no one is being allowed to complete their adoption. This will likely be revoked, but will likely slow down the process even more.

In the meantime, the Perlman's sweet little girl will be in foster care, which Sarah and Andy will have to pay for. The cost is $550 per month. It is my goal to raise 6 months worth of foster care funds.
