Please Help Save Lucky

Update... Currently 9.months. Previous post Hello I am Lucky, a 5 month old puppy Red Tri Australian Shepherd. I am a sweet, smart and a gentle boy. My human parents did testing of bloodwork, Xrays and Ultrasound since things just weren't right with all my vomiting and diarrhea and it showed I was born with a Congenital Portosystemic Intrahepatic Liver Shunt. My parents were very responsible and bought pet insurance but the policy is way too new and is ineligible to cover the cost of the diagnostics and surgery I require to save my life. The University of Guelph Ontario Veterinary College assures us that they can fix me but the cost will exceed $10,000. If we can raise this money, I can have a chance at a normal life. All my doctors who have tended to me this far have all said the rest of my health is great, but it will start deteriorating if we can't go through with the surgery. #australianshepherd #redtriaustralianshepherd We would love your support by sharing our GoFundMe page and your generous donations. Anything helps, $5.00 $10.00 $20.00 $100.00 whatever you feel compelled to help with, there is no minimum or maximum amount required anything helps. Please help donate and share. UPDATE: LUCKY has had his surgery done November 7th and has been doing well with his recovery. He is still on many different medications throughout the day for the next 4 weeks before we can even start to taper him down slowly to leave him with just 1 lifelong pink capsule. These meds have been refilled 3 times now since September 28th and talley in and around $400+ every three weeks. His scheduled follow up visits are: 4 weeks 8 weeks 12 weeks 6 months 12 months Then yearly onwards after that. Definitely not what we expected.... These are all tests to check his Bile Acides and Ammonia levels to ensure the stint and coils didn't/move, and that his blood continues to be diverted to the proper areas. Each visit is a starting rate of $280.00 and up depending on screening and results of the bloodwork. Somewhere in between those visits they need another CT Scan which again is $1300+ these are all costs outside of the surgery. So we are in for a rough financial ride for the next year, which was not really disclosed when we agreed to do the surgery. Please continue to share this post to help reach our goal to help with at least covering the cost of the surgery that we currently have as a longterm loan.
