MOB Strong: a fight against leukemia

This is a fundraising project to help support my brother's fight against leukemia. His name is Michael O'Brien...better known to his friends as MOB. Early June,on his 51st birthday, he was diagnosed with Acute Myelogeouns ( or Myeloid) Leukemia; also known as AML. This came as such a shock to his family and friends because our brother Mike has always been a pillar of strength and health his whole life! This, his first hospital experience ever, is the most important fight of his life.
After 6 weeks in the hospital, fighting and getting to the point that there are absolutely no leukemia cells in his bone marrow, he must repeat the same treatment, possibly 3 more times. For each time, it means a treatment followed by several weeks in the hospital recovering. Can you imagine, being self employed, and extremely physically active, outdoors every day, and being told you might be in the hospital for the majority of the next 5-6 months? NO, I'm sure you can't, because Michael, his family and his friends definitely cannot!
There is no doubt about it, Michael needs financial assistance to pay for medical bills and get him through these 5-6 months in the hospital. He has so many loyal friends, clients and family members following his journey closely, cheering and supporting him on each step of the way. I thought this would be a great way to get the message across to anyone willing to help. Mike has always been the kind of guy that would give the shirt off his back for a stranger...now it is time for karma to return the favor and help him through the most unsettling, stressful, frightening, painful time of his life.
PLEASE help if you can and/or pass this along to someone you know who can help. Mike has always been a hero to his family and friends, even as a young child...now it's his turn to feel that love, gratefulness and protection from others. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God Bless each and every one of you. We know that God, along with our loving, amazing father who passed away eleven years ago, are holding Michael's hands through this toughest time of his life.
