The condition in India due to COVID -19 is heartbreaking. As the CBC article mentions (link below), people are pleading for Oxygen & Hospital beds. Some of the stories from friends and family in India is gut wrenching.
There is an urgent need for Oxygen supply as people in India are struggling to breathe due to illness. Canada India Foundation- CIF Charitable Foundation is working with various community organizations and individuals to procure and Support Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India with an immediate requirement for the following:
(i) Oxygen Cylinders with 10 liters and 45 liters LMO capacity
(ii) Oxygen Concentrators/ Oxygen Generators
(iii) Medicines: Remdesivir and Tocilizumab
CIF will be matching all contributions up to 100K $ and will be sending all excess money to PM Cares which is utilizing PM Cares funds towards : free vaccinations for underprivileged , setting up of oxygen plants and purchase of 100K Oxy generators
