Saving Simon

If you know Andrea, then you know how much she loves her animals. She has rescued and saved countless babies her entire life. She rescued Simon about 9 years ago, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Unfortunately, Simon is dealing with some serious health issues that require immediate attention. About 5 weeks ago, he stopped being able to swallow properly. Andrea took him into her local vet, and after a exploratory throat procedure, they noticed his saliva gland isn’t working- the ruptured saliva gland is causing extreme throat swelling, causing difficulty to eat and breathe. Because cats have more than one saliva gland, the vet specialist wants to do an MRI, which alone is estimating around $2,800. The surgery itself is going to be around $4,800.
Andrea and Adam were just engaged this past summer, and are currently trying to save for their wedding. Weddings are of course expensive and while they both live paycheck to paycheck, I hate seeing them struggle to come up with an unexpected $8,000. While Simon’s blood work and other areas of health are unremarkable, his ruptured saliva gland is something they can’t let go untreated. I’m asking for any help as we know every little bit does help. Saving Simon is their only priority, I know they love him so firecly I can not imagine what they are going through as things are looking not so good.
