Second Annual Build a Well for Ramadan!

As Salaam Alaikum/Peace be upon you, Family & Friends!
"The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. (2:261)
Sa'ad ibn Ubadah RadiAllahu "˜anhu asked the Prophet Muhammad Salallahu "˜alaihi wasallam, "˜Umm Sa'ad (his mother) has died; what form of Sadaqah (charity) is best?'
He Salallahu "˜alaihi wasallam replied, "˜Water (is best).'
Here we are, as promised, very grateful to be able to host the Second Annual Build a Well for Ramadan fundraiser! Your donations from last year surpassed our goal of $5000, and together, we were able to build 7 wells! Please see the next post for the pictures from our last well-building!
This time around, we have increased our goal to $7,500 and have decided to limit the donations to the last 10 days of Ramadan. Here we go!
What are we doing again: Partnering with Ummah Welfare Trusts (www.uwt.org) to build wells and water pumps. Money donated is considered zakat.
How are we doing it: We're just coordinating the fundraising to make it easy for YOU to donate to building of wells. Once the money is raised, we will send it over to UWT to start the building, in sha Allah!
Who: Everyone! Though this is a very special month for Muslims, we certainly invite all our friends to help with this cause!
The details: UWT will begin building wells pretty much as soon as they receive the money. They have a 100% donation policy so all the money they receive will be going towards the wells! Wells will be built in Pakistan and the Philippines and potentially, water hand pumps in India and Bangladesh. The wells take approximately 6 months to be built and we'll be receiving progress reports and pictures to share! There will be a plaque placed by each of the wells built.
What now? Donate! We'll be collecting donations until July 28th, in sha Allah, giving us enough time to transfer the money by the last of Ramadan.
With our dua's (prayers), shukur (gratitude) and khushu (humility) and wishes for all of your efforts to be accepted and rewarded by Allah,
