Lydia's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
This is my mom, her name is Lydia. She is 52 years old and has recently been diagnosed w/a stage four glioblastoma multiforme which is a cancerous brain tumor located at her frontal right lobe. She has also been battling 36 years of Type 1 Diabetes along with adrenal and thyroid failure.
This type of tumor is fast acting and is known to grow back. The tumor has caused the left side of her body to be completely immobile. So far, she has had one successful surgery in which the majority of her tumor was removed but clinical drugs along with chemo and radiation will be necessary.
Unfortunately, the life expectancy for this grade of tumor is very short (3-9 months) but due to the advances of special treatment done at UCSF, there are a growing number of people that have beaten the odds and are living their lives tumor/cancer free. We are remaining optimistic due to the fact that this facility is one of the top ten in the country for these types of treatment.
All funds collected will directly go to her treatment process... hospital equipment, medical bills, travel expenses to UCSF, Continuous Glucose Monitor, etc.
Thank you for taking the time and reading our story. God bless.
