Thank you for visiting this page to show support for the Faith Lutheran Preschool. My name is Matthew Trevithick and I am a Boy Scout with Troop 368 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. In order to achieve the highest rank and greatest honor in Scouting, the Eagle Scout rank, a scout must complete a project to demonstrate leadership and to benefit his community. The project I have chosen to undertake is the installation of a playset for the Faith Lutheran Preschool. The preschool provides exceptional care and education for young children. It has an existing play area outside, but no permanent play equipment. It is my goal to secure the funds to purchase such equipment and install it for the preschool.
The playset that we are looking to purchase is called the ChildCenter 3. It is the perfect size for young children to play on, and has several educational features, like a clock and Tic Tac Toe game. The enclosed platforms make it a safe place to play, while the climbing stairs, peek-a-boo windows, and slide provide some fun. In addition to the playset itself, we will need to purchase cushioning material, like wood chips, and borders to hold in those cushioning materials.
This addition to the outdoor play area will greatly aid the preschool in its goal of enriching the lives of young children. It also gives more opportunities for healthy play, and provides further incentive for potential students to enroll at the preschool. It is my hope that this project will be extremely helpful and beneficial to the preschool. We would like to have construction completed before the 2013 school year.
