This year begins the second annual Lemonade Stand, a venture begun by Mikayla to completely benefit 6 Stones’ Operation Back 2 School event in Bedford, Texas. In Mikayla’s words, “It all started when I was just a little girl. I had always wanted to do a lemonade stand, but I’d never gotten a chance to. When I finally started it here in Texas, I just got so many friends and I wanted to help other people who didn’t have as much stuff as everyone else does like school supplies. I have a feeling that education is really important, and I wanted to help with that.” 
And she did just that. Last year, Mikayla's Lemonade Stand raised over $1,000 from a variety of sources, becoming the youngest large donor in 6 Stones’ history. She did this by not only selling lemonade and pastries, but also by recruiting a few businesses to support her mission as well. She's quite the spokesperson! This year, it is Mikayla's hope to double, or even better, triple the amount she donates to 6 Stones.
She started this GoFundMe campaign to help assist even more students in need for 2018. Operation Back 2 School provides students in need with a new backpack and school supplies and connects their parents with resources that help them all year long.
• Goal #1: $7,000 will provide supplies for 10 classrooms
• Goal #2: $14,000 will provide supplies for 20 classrooms
• Goal #3: $21,000 will provide supplies for 30 classrooms and additional funds will be used to start up Mikayla's own non profit organization to help underprivileged children and their families.
Mikayla asks that you help her help students in need by offering a little donation. Whatever you contribute is a beautiful offering for the future of children, some who will further the exploration of important medical cures, govern our nation, states, and cities, invent incredible new technologies, and create beautiful works of art, books, and films. Thank you for any and all of your needed support to help make the world a better place...for ALL of us!
