The Mzimkhulu Trust

On the 28th July 2013, The Mzimkhulu Team:Tynan Dean and Simon Bowden are cycling from London to Edinburgh and back again (1,418km over five days) to raise money for The Mzimkhulu Trust.
The Mzimkhulu Trust (incorporating the Masikhule Project) was founded by 1 Pump Court Chambers in 2008. The Trust is the main sponsor of The Lorraine Poswa Mzimkhulu Pre-School in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The Pre-School was established in 1994, in the early years the children were taught in the open air under the trees. In 1994 the late Lorraine "Mama" Poswa offered her home as a classroom. 1 Pump Court Chambers helped raise funds for the construction of the current school building which was completed in 2004, they continued to fund raise and established the Trust in 2008 to maintain their support and sponsorship. Funds are urgently needed to maintain the infrastructure of the school and the monthly running costs, which includes a feeding project to ensure that the children have at least one hot meal a day. The children, some as young three years old are currently walking a round trip of up to 6kms a day. The children are committed to learning and Tynan and Simon are committed to completing this ride to raise money on their behalf.
Tynan has created a blog of his training rides, the link is below:-
