To my dear family and friends,
As many of us are, I have been on mission in my home building up my family and doing my best to point my children to Christ. As a foster-to-adopt parent for the last 14 months I have seen first-hand how God's power can restore a broken spirit and heal what we think are lasting scars. While we wait for adoption to be finalized and begin the process to add more children to our family, I feel called to follow hard after where the Lord is leading me on mission across the ocean's borders to India.
An opportunity to travel there in January 2014 arose a year-and-a-half ago and God is still calling me there. I have been to India twice before, but this time it will be in the northeast area working with an organization on the ground day-in and day-out. I feel so small in comparison to this large task in reaching out and loving on the broken women in bondage in the brothels there, and to their children who live in the orphanages, but God only needs willing hearts and hands, as is evident in every task of His we take on.
I need you! I need your prayers just as many of you have always been faithful in supporting me when I go where the Lord leads. Prayer works, I know this for sure, and so I ask that you pray for my safety, travel protection, and also for my spiritual preparation. What I may experience is so much bigger than I can possibly swallow and endure in my heart, but the Lord has a plan to show His greatness to these women and dear children who have become trapped.
For those of you who can support me financially, in any way, I am needing to raise $1900 to cover flight and living expenses for food and shelter. I am joining a precious friend who I once led in a high school small group for several years, rather than going on a large organized group trip.
