Kyle's Cancer Fund-Dr. Bills/Feed Family

Donation protected
Oct 18, 2013 UPDATE: Kyle passed away at 11pm Wednesday, October 16. She was surrounded by peace and love. Good friends were over. Liam played the guitar and sang to us. It was quite peaceful.

Thank you for all of your support over the last 11 months. It means a lot to know we're not alone.

The loss of Kyle is quite tragic to my little family; she will be missed more than most could probably comprehend.

As you all know Kyle has Stage IV Ovarian Cancer with Carcinoid Tumors. Drs. removed her ovaries, stomach, spleen and part of her diaphragm. She has spots on her liver (cancer) and an abscess in her liver. Drs. inserted a drain in her liver. She is in great pain and just can't get a break. They can't get her strong enough to even try chemotherapy. Jay, Linda and I are paying her rent and health insurance bills each month. We don't have more funds. We just don't. Kyle has not been able to work since November 2012. Now Kyle has no food on her table for her 2 and 6 year old children, her and Keri. She can't pay for hers and Keri's MS meds. (Oh yes, Keri has MS). It sure would be great if you sent this to anyone and everyone who could help.

I think Keri says it best (email below):

Hi Jay and Roberta (and Linda and Carol),

I'm not really sure how to start this email - so I'll just jump right in. I probably should have sent this a few weeks ago, but really thought things would turn around. They haven't and we're broke over here. I've had to take off countless hours to take care of Kyle and cancelled clients. Journey's camp is an added expense that has been a burden (and he needs to be in camp so I can work).

I'm beyond short this month. :(

We have $17 in my checking account and around $19 in a visa gift card. There is NO food in the house. Kyle was expecting me to order her chinese food tonight for dinner (her favorite) but there was no way I could do that. We also have only a quarter of a tank of gas left in the car...so getting Kyle to the doctor on Monday is going to be an issue.

I haven't purchased my medication for MS and it's been a week - a very long week - and I must go get it ASAP because I just can't function without it to take care of myself let alone others. It's a $147 copay. :( we also have 4 rxs to pick up for Kyle tomorrow or the next day, too. Those should be about $100 total.

We lost food stamps and welfare because Kyle is getting the SSI. So that means $900 a month I've had to make up the last 4 going on 5 months now.

I'm not really sure what to do at this point.

There are several other expenses (the next 4 weeks of camp, Shae's school, car payment).

We're looking to you for assistance...as I'm at a loss of how to proceed at this point.

lovingly,

Keri, Kyle, and the kidlets
