Little Everett’s Heart Fund

It was so exciting when we found out we were expecting our first baby.  After several ultrasounds we were devastated and heartbroken to learn that our unborn baby boy, little Everett, was growing in the womb with a major heart defect.  He was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare heart defect in which the left pumping chamber is severely underdeveloped, affecting the normal blood flow through the heart.  With this condition he will require three major surgeries to reroute the blood flow through his heart to ensure his survival.  The first surgery must be performed when he is only a few days old, and will require approximately on month stay in the hospital.  The second surgery must be performed when he is three to six months old and require him to remain in the hospital for approximately three weeks.  During this entire six to seven month period, he will require intensive care both in the hospital and at home,  making it impossible for one of us to work.  We will be required to travel from our home in Montana to Milwaukee so that he can receive the vital care he must have to survive at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.  Consequently,  I (Amanda) will remain in Wisconsin with baby Everett, and due to intensive care, will not be able to work for at least this six to seven month period.  My husband (Everett) will have to travel back and forth from Montana and Wisconsin to sustain part-time employment, to maintain our home and pay the bills. 
   We are asking for your help and assistance in any way possible.  We don't expect much, but whatever you can help with we greatly appreciate it.  There will be costs associated with travel back and forth between Montana and Wisconsin, medical costs for the surgeries, and additional costs for the hospital stays, medicines, shots,  and continuous doctor's visits for baby Everett, not to mention our regular expenses associated with maintaining our residence.  Even the smallest amount will help ease the stress and the worry.  we would go tot he end of the earth and back to help our little boy; he means everything to us!
