This page was originally created in 2011, with a great love, passion and integrity of intention to help others in need.
It all started with conversations between our Ugandan friend, the amazing Pastor Katongle and myself, Deborah Crozier, together with my son, Dean Crozier where we decided it was the only way to help.
By setting up this fundraiser with hopes to raise enough money for our friends at the Miracle Kids Orphanage and School in Uganda East Africa which fortunately was founded by the very caring and generous, Pastor Alex Katongle in 2008.
We opened a special banking account and sent the account card direct to the Pastor in Kampala, Uganda for his ease of access to direct withdrawals once the donations are received via this fundraiser, so he is then able to purchase food to feed the many needy children, pay the teachers and all that is involved in looking after over 250 kids in one place.
What a Huge Job it is for one man; and with only the support of his loving wife and a handful of wonderful locals... mainly widowed women.
We welcome and encourage the good grace of generous people world wide, those wishing to make a positive change in the world to donate to this cause, to ensure these young Ugandan orphans receive the love and care they so desperately need and deserve.

MIRACLE KIDS, CHILDREN'S SCHOOL AND HOME PROJECT is a nonprofit government organization (NGO no: 7826) committed to the poor, in this recognizing and empowering needy/orphan children and widows in Uganda.
It was founded in 2008 by Pr Alex Katongole who has been victim of all kinds of tortures, abuse, suffering ever since he was a child after the death of his father and destruction of their belongings (property) in 1984 due to the political war of President Idi Amin Dada.
According to his history, when he was a student at Makerere University, he traveled to Northern and Eastern Uganda where he had gone to carry out door to door Evangelism outreaches ,he visited some of the IDP refuge camps and he had interactions with widows, orphans/child soldiers and societies, these people in the camps had not any of the basic necessities of life and their lives were Ames and almost near death ,he thought about where the Lord has brought him from the time he was still on the streets, and how God has used different people to make his life what it is now, then God spoke to him about the suffering children and widows around him, so he came up with the idea of providing care, love, free education and protection to the orphans /needy, street kids, the poor and widows in Uganda who are going through the same situation he was in and his mother as a widow.
Right now this foundation is responsible for 250+ orphaned children whose lives have been ravaged by war, disease and famine. Many of these orphans are former child soldiers. The parents of each child have been lost to the same horrors which their surviving children now face, including violent crime, the AIDs virus, chronic diarrhoea and starvation. In addition to providing basic care and shelter, including clean water, food, mattresses and school books, this fundraiser aims to not only accomodate such fundamental needs but also to ultimately help purchase land adjoining the Miracle Kids Orphanage/School to make it so the children can be looked after by dedicated staff members on fully self-sufficient farm land. Through this land purchase, the children will in turn learn how to be self sufficient and grow up with the opportunity to live abundant lives without having to be forced to relive the constant distress and heartbreak which so plagued their childhood.
Every donation made by you through this page will ensure that these Ugandan orphans stand a chance against all the odds of a harsh, unforgiving and scarce African environment; you will not only be providing a sense of certainty and security to the children of this generation, but if enough money is raised to buy farmland, then you will have also contributed to the wellbeing and happiness of many needy generations to come.
2019 Update : THANK YOU to all who have been so generous in donating to this cause so far...the good news is the land the school intended to buy was Purchased back in 2015. CONGRATULATIONS !
Now the ongoing battle is to provide enough nutrition and quality food per child at all times of the year. We are still wishing to add to the accommodation rooms and school buildings; also to provide mattresses individually for each child, together with all other necessary personal and school aides.
It also would be wonderful to afford even a small huggy toy for those little ones who have nothing.
