Help Students Read Fahrenheit 451

Overview
I am a high school teacher hoping to read Fahrenheit 451 with my students this coming fall. Our school doesn't have the book or the funds to buy it, even though multiple teachers would like to teach it. So, with your help, we can raise this money quickly, order 3 or more class sets of the novel, and begin the year with great questions like:

Can books be dangerous and worth banning?
Why do we read stories in the first place?
In F451 "the public itself stopped reading of its own accord." Why did they do this, and what similarities do you see between their society and ours?

Hopefully it's clear why this book will be such a great introduction to the year for my students. We're going to be reading a lot this year, and it's important to first address why we read, before asking anyone to spend so much of their time doing it. Also, they're reading a dystopian novel over the summer, and I'm excited to continue on the theme of dystopia for a while.

In the interest of transparency, here is how the $1750 will be spent:

(The $9.09 price per book is set by the publisher my school is obligated to use, so the existence of slightly cheaper prices on the internet is unfortunately not helpful in this situation.


Finally, if the funding goal is not entirely met, I will simply use the money to buy as many copies of F451 as possible.
