Welcome to the Cakes With Jaz fundraising page! My Name is Jasmine and I own and operate Cakes With Jaz!
Cakes With Jaz is a bakery that I started out of my home in February of 2010, while attending South Western Oregon Community College. While working towards my Associate's degree in Small Business/ Entrepreneurship, I was able to build the business from the ground up. For the last three years I've spent all of my time, energy, and money building relationships with local businesses, friends, and customers. I've made hundreds of cakes and cookies, thousands of cake pops, and put in too many hours to count, these have led to the need of an expansion to a location outside of my home.
In May of 2013 I was approached with an amazing opportunity that I couldn't let pass me by! It led to the purchase of a large convection oven, and the signing of a lease on the perfect location for Cakes With Jaz! As of July 1st 2013, I have a small store front, with the storage that I need, in a slow moving town with limited walk-in customers, and the space I need to create my beautiful cakes! It's an amazing step, and I am SO excited to get started!
Here's where I need your help! The bank turned me down for a small business loan, as I haven't built up enough credit with the business. This means that all of the equipment and supplies (oven, fridge, sneeze guards, cleaning supplies, paint and supplies, etc), deposit on the building, and rent have all been purchased with either cash, or put onto our personal credit cards. With no income for the last two weeks while I've been getting things set up, money starting to get pretty tight!
There are a few things I still need to purchase, a large mixer ($400+), baking supplies to stock the shelves, a table and chairs set where I will hold consultations, cupcake and cake boxes, a few cake pan sets (to be able to really take advantage of the new oven!), and advertising materials. The funds donated here will be used to purchase the items on this list and really help get the business up and running!

Please keep in mind the prizess can be shipped in the cooler months, except for the cupcakes and mini samplers. Those can be replaced with other shippable prizes if you are not local to the Coos Bay/ North Bend/ Charleston, Oregon area. thanks :)
