Bobbi Lee Leukemia Fund

Bobbi Lee Downs was diagnosed June 21, 2013 with ph positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She is a wife and mother of two children. Her son Tommy is in 9th grade and her daughter Brooke is in 11th grade. Bobbi Lee has always taken care of others her entire life. After the passing of her father when she was only 14 years old Bobbi Lee was forced to grow up at an early age. She helped raise her two younger sisters, take care of the house and budget the household income. As an adult Bobbi Lee has always worked in professions taking care and servicing others. She worked at Fauquier Hospital and then many years as a paraprofessional at Sycamore Park Elementary School. Bobbi Lee just resigned in June from Sycamore Park to work at a group home in Remington and to spend more time on one of her many talents of cake creations. Unfortunately with this diagnosis Bobbi Lee has been and will be unable to work. She is receiving an aggressive treatment which means she will have many long stays at the hospital and when able to go home she will have to return to the clinic twice a week for treatments. Bobbi Lee will also need a bone marrow transplant. If you have been friends with her or just recently met her I am sure she has helped you or touched your life in some way. Now Bobbi Lee and her family need our help to ease the very large financial burden this journey brings.
