I've decided my goal may have been a little over zealous, so I've lowered my expectations:-) Please help me and many thanks to those of you who have "stepped up to the plate". Story below.
I have a dear and very private friend who lives on Social Security Benefits of less that $1,40.00 monthly. Because of out-of-pocket prescription medicine costs of approximately $500.00 per month and an unexpected move that will raise rent $300.00 per month, things are getting difficult. There is no family to reach out to. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to get Medicare to help with prescription costs. I assist monthly, but will soon have invested my limit.
My friends health is somewhat delicate and your support will help me provide a much deserved sense of security without the current financial worry and stress.
