Leslye Layne Russell is a wonderful mother, wife, poet, singer, songwriter, teacher, and so much more. She has been living with breast cancer for a long time, waging a good campaign against this disease. Now the balance is tipping toward cancer taking away her life force. There is one clinic that has a good record in healing cases like hers and we want her to have that opportunity.
It takes $40,000 to have treatment there. For the very specific kind of low-dose, targeted chemotherapy the doctors at this clinic use, there is an additional fee of around $20,000. Then there are many additional expenses in relocating for a short period of time, loss of income, additional supplements, etc. Therefore, our initial ask is $70,000. Any amount raised will go to the direct care and treatment of our mom as well as any other health related expenses.
We are Rain and Crystal, her daughters, and want our Mom to stay with us, her grandchildren, family, and friends a lot longer. Will you help us get her into the clinic? She has so much more love, music, and poetry in her heart to share with the world and her family and friends. This is why this GoFundMe campaign is so important.
Some history about her unique situation is she's been living with this cancer for 20 years, and only the last 20 months or so have been rough. It's actually a great success story of how she has naturally treated her own cancer all this time! She needs help now though, as the cancer is more advanced and aggressive, and there are currently related physiological complications.

The album, this moment, and our mom's life are priceless! The CD project is funded and complete except for a couple of graphic details.
We are currently waiting for test results from the clinic before starting treatment. The soonest she can start would be January 2, and the bulk of the funds need to be raised prior to that date, as the clinic administers treatment with three weekly up-front payments. Time is of the essence.
