This 400 year old country pub in Faversham, Kent England is not only a historic pub, its also home to the landlord, his daughter and two grandsons who all work at the pub. Having to close due to the Corona Virus has left them with no income and none in sight for possibly the next 2 months or more. It is a unique pub in a country known for pubs. No wifi, no music, no gaming machines. As the landlord says, we don’t have WiFi, we have conversations! They serve real ales straight from the cask and offer home made food. It’s a place to go to escape from everyday stress and enjoy the peace and beauty of the natural landscape they sit on, over a mile from the nearest houses. Less than 50 feet from creeks and marshes it an incredible place to visit. With the possibility of having to close lingering over their heads, this would give them peace of mind to know their will be a future for the family and the Shipwrights Arms.
