https://zionnow.net IM EMUNA
is a non profit Israeli organisation, and one of its two main purposes is to support the work of 'IM EMUNA-Zion Now'
- building bridges between Jews and Christians. IM EMUNA
helps to fund Ruth Fazal (Christian) and Gil Pentzak (Orthodox Jew) as they share their message around the world. We live in a unique time in history when walls of separation are being broken down between Christians and Jews, in a spirit of love, respect and humility.
Please support this very special calling of Ruth and Gil , and enable them to offer this opportunity for people to come and meet with them in Israel, and for them to travel worldwide. Choose to give a one time gift, or to support monthly. Who is Ruth Fazal?
Ruth was born in England, studied violin in UK and in Paris, before moving to Toronto, Canada with her husband. There they raised their two children, now grown and married. Ruth is a professional violinist, and has performed with many orchestras in Toronto, as concertmaster. She is also a Christian worship leader, with over 30 recordings. https://ruthfazal.com
Ruth's music is varied in style - worship songs, sponataneous meditative violin music, and classical works. Since 2011 Ruth has been spending most of her time in Israel, and she has a deep love for the Jewish people. She initially came to Israel to study Hebrew and to play her violin for Holocaust survivors. Ruth's desire to be in Israel has grown out of God leading her to write various pieces over the years that have a deeply Jewish connection. Her latest work (for orchestra, choir and soloists) "Ezekiel Out of Exile" was recorded in 2017, and will be performed in October 2020 in Israel.
Ruth still studies Hebrew with Gil Pentzak, and ZION NOW grew out of their conversations together, and and out of their feeling led to share their journey with others. Ruth brings a unique aspect to their meetings with groups, and she leads, together with Gil, in worshiping God through song. Who is Gil Pentzak?
Gil is a native Israeli, Orthodox Jew, graduate of Bar Ilan University, father of 6 young children, and teacher of Hebrew. Gil met Ruth Fazal when she came to study at 'Ulpan Aviv '- the Hebrew language school that Gil owns and runs. https://ulpanaviv.com
Studying together and having many conversations, it started to become clear to them that they were to work together, to model how it is possible to walk alongside one another as Jew and Christian. 'It is about being fully who we are, with no agendas' says Gil.
Ruth felt she wanted to share all that she was learning through their conversations about God with Christians, as she was aware of how many misconceptions there are about Judaism within the Christian world. So, Gil and Ruth began to meet with groups of Christians visiting Israel. This developed into inviting groups to come for a whole week, and then they began travelling to other parts of the world to share their journey. Gil has a deep understanding of the scriptures, and is a wonderful communicator, who is happy to share his journey and his beliefs with any who are ready to listen and engage in conversation, without the need to change one another.
