Medical bills

Hi! A lot of you know me. Some don't. Some friends have told me to do this, and I'm not putting up much of a fight these days, so, here goes. I'll try to tell my story without rambling too long. 6 years ago, I began a journey that has devastated my family financially. I went to the ER in excruciating pain. Turned out to be a large kidney stone stuck in my ureter. A procedure was scheduled to blast it the next day. Well, before my procedure, my Dad passed away. I'm in Tennessee, my family is in Texas. So, I had to cancel the procedure and go to Texas. I was there for a while. And by the time I came back to TN, and scheduled the procedure again, the stone had become impacted in my ureter. I underwent multiple surgeries to try to repair my ureter. They failed. So, my Urologist devised a plan to remove my ureter, and make a new one using part of my bladder. Not long after that, it was discovered that there is a stricture in the new ureter. So now, I have to have a ureteral stent in place, 24/7, to keep my kidney flowing. My kidney is damaged, but it's functional enough that they don't want to take it out because of my diabetes. I've now had 36 surgeries and procedures, with that number climbing every 4 months. We are completely overwhelmed by a non-stop flow of medical bills. I'm a musician, and I'm no longer able to play live. I make enough doing studio sessions to put a little food on the table. I'm trying to make enough to beat the hounds from the door, even just for a bit. I've played benefits my whole life to help others, and it feels really strange to be on this end of things, sticking out my "virtual begging cup". But I thought I would give it a try.
