Imagine hearing from your doctor that you have something inside you that is killing you. Imagine finding out your insurance barely covers the treatment and it will cost you $11,000 while you and your spouse figure out a way each month how to pay the bills you already have.
It is with great humility that we ask for help. I can be cured or I can have my life drastically shortened.

Three years ago I was diagnosed with Hep C but was told that most people die with Hep C not of it. I get tested every six months to monitor several "markers" that indicate whether the virus is growing or maintaining. Each time I got tested it indicated a rather accelerated growth. I have been, for some time, extremely fatigued as if I had the flu. Getting through each day is very challenging. I am in a "sweet spot" whereas I'm healthy enough to withstand treatment but time is running out. If the rate of growth continues as is, I will need a liver transplant and they don't just hand those out unless you are well enough off.

We are in a country that would have people without enough money die off because of the "burden" it would be on Insurance companies to cover many of us. They have profit margins to keep and we wouldn't want the seriously ill get in the way of that would we?

Treatment requires an intense, 48-week course of PEG Interferon and Ribavirin; medications that carry harsh side effects very similar to chemotherapy.

In consideration of a passion for life; the desire to experience many years with my new wife and realizing countless goals and dreams in ministry, and with family; $11,000 seems quite reasonable yet without your help, unatainable.

I don't believe in accidents or coincidence. My doctor's name is Dr. Hope, Bradley Hope. I live on Hope Avenue in Santa Barbara, California.

Ultimately I am given Hope by a Savior who loves me, who brings healing, and gives me a peace that surpasses all understanding. It is with profound humility and our faith in Christ that my wife Mindy and I request the assistance of those whose hearts are led to support this need; we are deeply grateful for any prayerfully-considered contribution.

Please join us on Hope Avenue, the avenue that so many here on GoFundMe drive down looking for friends they've never met in hopes of a miraculous recovery or in my case, a cure.

Thank you for being a part of our miracle, and may God bless your generous spirit.
