Medical and Moving

As most of you may know, Jenny has been dealing with a health issue for many years without answers. This past August, she ended up getting hospitalised for 20 days while the doctors tried to control her symptoms. After numerous tests and almost having to put in a feeding tube, things finally started to turn around and she was released into the care of home nurses. Three weeks later she was hospitalized again where the doctors were able to diagnose a secondary condition which affects her heart. All of this has taken a toll on her body, to which she now has to occasionally use a walker/wheelchair and consume costly medications.   

Thunder Bay has been home for Darren and Jenny for the past 4 and a half years. It was there, that the medical community noticed something abnormal with her health and have given her excellent care. However, they have done really all that they can do which is why Jenny's case is being transferred down to Mount Sinai Genetic Clinic in Toronto. 

Darren, Jenny, and Elias will be moving to Toronto to be near family and to be closer to more advanced hospitals and specialists. In recent months, things have not been easy for there family, resulting in Darren having to leave his job early before the move to help care for their home. Jenny's medical supplies and medication as you can imagine have been a financial burden. They have reached out for government support and are waiting, so in the meantime all finacial coverage is on them.
