For Love of Earl Alphin and Family

Donation protected
On June 17th, Tommi and Nuhn Alphin recieved a call from Thailand that their father, Earl Alphin, had fallen and hit his head on a brick wall while mowing grass at their village home. He couldn't see or hear on that side, but everything else was fine. In fact, he even tried to talk to his son, Tommi, but said "I can't hear you son--heres your mom!" Subsquently, to potentially be the last words his son heard from his dad. Later that night, another call revealed he could not speak at all. The village rallied together rapidly and put him in the back of a small pick up truck (no ambulances in the village) and rushed him to the village hospital. Once there, they discovered his brain was hemorrhaging and swelling rapidly. Quickly, they rushed him to the international hospital in Udon Thani, Thailand. Doctors performed emergency surgery on this head to remove the blood and reduce the swelling. All was successful and recovery began with him opening his eyes and squeezing the nurses hands a couple days later. Since then, he has not regained conscieceness; he has been unresponsive since the surgery with the exception of that small sign of progression. The family is working to get to Thailand and be there for their mother and hopefully Earl will respond to his children and start recovering. For those of you that have been to Thailand know the expense related, but traveling to this country in peak tourist season and on last minute notice increases this triplefold. In addition, US medical insurance does not cover any of his medical bills occuring in Thailand. We are trying to raise funds to help the family and help to bring the mother home in the event the worst case scenario happens. The family will truly appreciate any help and please keep all in your prayers!
