Cure for Clayton
Donation protected
One year ago, the young warrior, Clayton was diagnosed with A-L-L Leukemia. Many of you gave something of yourself, whether it was your time, your talent or your treasure, and your response was overwhelming. For that, Clayton and the entire Hutchinson family thank you. One year later we are elated and blessed to report that, while the journey has been long and certainly not without its challenges, Clayton is now in maintenance! He has gained all of the weight back he lost during chemo, grown an inch, and looks mighty handsome with all of his hair coming back in!
But Clayton’s journey is not over. For the next 2.5 years Clayton will continue to receive daily oral chemo, accompanied with monthly chemo treatments at Rady Children’s Hospital.
I have personally been inspired by the courage and perseverance of Clayton and know that he still needs all of our support. I felt like there is no other way to honor the struggle and the triumph that Clayton and Family have gone through than to go through my own self-inflicted struggle by tackling the Everest Challenge. I truly believe what Nietzsche said is true, “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.” So my why is to continue to support Clayton along his triumphant journey.
