LUCY is my sweet 5 year old pit bull mix..called an 'amstaff' by some. I adopted/rescued her from ASPCA in NYC when she was 9 months old. Well, she rescued me, really.
LUCY & I want to thank everyone very much, who has helped & supported us thus far. I could not have provided the care she needed without this support. Thank you.
However, the journey to wellness for LUCY continues, as does the cost for her care. After only a few days back at home, my sweet girl has not maintained nor improved. Her kidneys were damaged by the Leptospirosis & renal failure and they havent bounced back as they should have, causing increased water consumption & constant heavy urination. She isnt eating much..and I've tried everything!..& she has thrown up too..(that is a new symptom)
Dr. Dugan didn't like what he heard about her condition & symptoms and wants to see her right away. So, I am taking LUCY back to ASPCA this morning July 5, ahead of her scheduled follow-up appointment.
Please send good thoughts for LUCY's full recovery. And can you help LUCY's momma please with the continued costs? Any bit helps. LUCY loves you all and wants to give you doggy kisses!!
