Reid Butler Growth Hormone Fund

Hi everyone, we are creating this page on behalf of our son Reid, who has been struck off the PBS Growth Hormone program, many of you know Reid and the battles he has faced in his 16 years and has over come all of them despite overwhelming odds. Our family would like to first thank you for taking the time to look at Reids page.As many of our friends know our son has been given a special gift in this world as an inspirational and pure person, although it has come with many tests for him and his family.Reid has recently undergone a major series of opperations to assist with his mobility and has bit by bit regained some of it back,
Just recently we were informed that Reids bone age is that of a 17yr old and he is not able to acess the PBS Growth Hormone Program any longer and nor will any other teenager in Australia no matter there need of it to assist in maintaining a worthy enjoyable life, as the regulartory body that controles it disagrees with almost every other country that it should be available on the PBS as to not deny any person the opportunity to a good and rewarding existance. After many questions an phone calls we were informed that there is no other option than to fund this ourselves.
During the short amount of time Reid was not recieving this hormone we saw our son drained of all the things he had worked so hard for and reduced to a life of hospital visits and unconscions existence with moments of the person he was.
We have started Reid back on the Growth Hormone an after negotiations this will work out round $10,200 per year,close people to our family have already been so wonderful suporting us in trying to restore this worthy young mans ability to enjoy life,
